Sub-themes | – evaluation of the methods of conservation and restoration – archaeological and historical heritage of the Mediterranean countries – physical and chemical characterization of the materials of the historical monuments and the old buildings – movable cultural heritage of the regions of the countries Mediterranean |
Synthesis | The conference is a meeting point for archaeologists, historians, architects, geologists, physicists, chemists, and many other disciplines, in the Ripam line of the scientific-historical cooperation between the two Mediterranean shores whose common denominator is an ancestral architecture exposed to multiple whims which affect it considerably and a forward-looking vision for a new architecture friendly to the Mediterranean environment. The discussions and exchanges were particularly fruitful and interesting, showing both the steps taken, but also the long road that still remains to be covered by federating the efforts as best as possible in order to allow young researchers in the archaeological, geological and physical fields, architectural, chemical, cultural, etc. to confirm and improve. An important recommendation is for the indepth search for building materials for an efficient restoration of our architectural heritage |
